Marionnettes in the Market

Same time, same place next week? That’s how our favorite Farmers’ Market goes. Each week locals and guests descend on Taos Plaza for a bounty of tempting meats, cheeses, and fresh baked treats. The market, which typically runs between 8:30am and 12:30pm, holds a surprise for younger children with the return of Puppet Theatre los Titiriteros. Come for the freshest of foods, the warmth of New Mexico’s classic adobe brown, and enjoy what has always been a unique outdoor ensemble.

Music and drink just seem to go together. Taos Mesa Brewing, a great microbrewery located on the Taos Mesa, seems to think so. That’s why they’re hosting Frequinox! Music and Art Festival. The return of this classic festival, taking place from September 16-18th, is certainly something to celebrate. Three days and two nights beneath the clear desert sky should be wondrous enough to woo anyone. Combined with a sizable roster of top-notch indie and rock bands, good times are guaranteed.
