Time for Taos Shortz and the Winter Market
This month, the city of Taos offers our guests a plethora of fun and interesting activities and events, and we have listed two of our favorites here.
First, don’t miss the 12th edition of the Taos Shortz Film Fest on March 22-24. Known as the “Tao of Global Short Films,” as well as one of the “top 50 film festivals worth the entry fee” by MovieMaker Magazine, this year’s fest promises to continue the tradition of featuring the best of world-class cinema with the screening of 55 of the finest short films in the world.
Next, be sure to check out the Taos Winter Market. Now in its fourth season, the market will be open through April 6 and is located at the Guadalupe Church gymnasium every Saturday. Snag some of the freshest eggs and veggies here, along with honey, veggie dogs, Geronimo’s freshly-baked bread, pastries, and Henrietta Gomez’ homemade blue corn tamales. Browse the wares of over 50 vendors, with such unique items as alpaca wool, jewelry, teas, stone knives, bows, and arrows, remedies for arthritis and insomnia, rugs, paintings, handmade furniture, Mistletoe holiday wreaths, and much more.
